How relevant is learning Full Stack as a senior Devops engineer?[IT, unknown]
Posted 11 months ago
Company has a free education subscription for employees and they have a beefy Full Stack course going over Java, Spring boot, JS, JDBC, databases, etc. and it piqued my interest in learning. Just wondering how much of this stuff is relevant with what I already do as a Devops guy and if it'll help me in my career? I have ...
Should we migrate out from Gitlab?[IT, unknown]
Posted 11 months ago
I run a startup where our codebase is hosted on GitLab SaaS. Recently our Dev team headcount went over 5, which was not allowable under our free plan. The plan cost of 29 USD+taxes per head is daunting for our IT budget, as it would more than double our IT expenses (we are on free plans for all our cloud systems ...
Looking for remote opportunity[IT, unknown]

I am a beginner in Devops and looking for a job switch into a work from home setup. Now since pandemic is over, no company is offering a remote setup job. For me a hybrid model or wfo is not possible anymore. It's either a remote job opportunity or I'll have to quit. I have 4 years of experience and really ...

I work as the only devops engineer for an organization. I was hired a year ago with the hopes of implementing proper devops process within the tech organization. When I joined, the only service was a monolith web app built with php, hosted on ...
Implementing DevOps[IT, job post]
Posted 11 months ago
Recently, I joined a managed IT services company with the goal of implementing DevOps practices, both internally and for their clients. They have a range of clients, from large supermarkets running over 3,000 virtual servers and multiple data centers, to smaller setups and cloud-based infrastructures.
I've been placed in a department responsible for monitoring with Nagios and checkmk. There are also ...
Anyone else only getting recruitment messages for people looking for Azure experience as of late?[IT, job post]
Posted 11 months ago
Thinking maybe it's time to pick it up after 10+ years of AWS, especially with all the market uncertainty going on right now. What's strange is nowhere on my resume/various hiring profiles do I mention Azure experience anywhere, seems like orgs running that stack are struggling to find bodies and are just shooting from the hip.
