How you guys transitioned to a DevOps position?[IT, job post]

I am currently working as an infra engineer but also doing the DevOps things. My manager and the leadership team also recognize that and they see me as an (unofficial) DevOps guy. But I don't see them making it as an official position or changing my job title.
I want to know how you guys transitioned into a DevOps position ...
What is your view on Dynatrace? What kind of additional benefits it's adding to logging and monitoring?[IT, unknown]

Why do we need to choose dynatrace over other tools.
