Should I avoid using create-react-app on future projects?[IT, other]
Posted 1 year ago
Hi, pretty new to the react ecosystem overall. I kept getting vulnerability warnings from npm on dependencies, so I looked into it. I found an article from the dev who explained why the vulnerability warnings were happening and why they weren't correct (https://overreacted.io/npm-audit-broken-by-design) .... cool. But then another comment caught my eye that send me to github's facebook/...
Can someone break down the process by which a web app goes from concept to deployed application?[IT, other]
Posted 1 year ago
I want to really understand how web applications are designed, developed, and deployed, but there’s just so, so, so many different specializations and moving parts and niche terminology. Frontend, Backend, Full-Stack, DevOps, DevSecOps, CyberSec, UI/UX, SysAdmin, CI/CD, Database Administrator, etc. I have a sense of some things: Frontend devs handle the client-side, so anything that runs in ...
How to compile Nativewind ?[IT, other]
Posted 1 year ago
I'm using expo react native with typescript and nativewind, I use tsc to compile my project. However it doesn't compile my nativewind classes. What command do I need to run to compile my project properly? and can I still use tsc or should I just use babel? since nativewind requires a babel.config.js file.

Over the last four months, I built a side project and just launched it in the App Store. I decided to make the GitHub repo public because I think it's interesting for anyone learning React Native to look at a real-world project.
I created Share My Stack for people who, like me, care about the tools they use daily. The ...

What do you think about Astro?[IT, other]

They seem quite ambitious and serious player, which has its own features and can integrate other frameworks, React too. Have you worked in it before and do you think it has a perspective, is it worth learning?

How to stay relevant with technologies you don’t use?[IT, other]

Hi, so I’m in this job for 6 months and it’s been a massive mess and I want to leave asap. I have 2 YOE and I’ve worked with React for one year in my previous job, where I built a library of components.
Anyway, at the current job which I haven’t touched React, we only work with ...
How to find you first remote job?[IT, other]
Posted 1 year ago
I know react and even wrote my first commercial project (including back-end), I also know sockets and much more. But I can't find my first job, they often ask for a lot of years of work experience or give a test task that my friends programmers with 6+ years of experience do not easily cope with.
Please tell me where to ...
Do I learn JavaScript and then react native?[IT, other]
Posted 1 year ago
I am a python and C++ developer. I do not know JavaScript, but I understand what the technology is used for (websites, as well as the language that React Native utilizes).
Do I just watch a course on React Native and start building, or do you recommend JavaScript first and then React Native?
For context, I want to build an ...
