Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a project I've dedicated some time to - my Java implementation of a Log-Structured Merge Tree. The repository includes a skip list implementation and an SSTable built entirely from scratch. The tree performs background flushing to disk and table compaction.

Where I work we deal with very old Cobol and Java code bases that almost nobody is able to maintain anymore.
The original devs have moved on and the code is spaghetti (on everyone's sweaters).
The code is still running in production however and is relatively stable.
I want to pitch no longer maintaining the old legacy code and re-architecting ...
